Котовским воинам-интернационалистам вручили награды

Котовским воинам-интернационалистам вручили награды На днях в музейном комплексе Котовска прошла церемония вручения юбилейных наград Министерства обороны РФ, посвященных 25-летию вывода советских войск из Афганистана. Их обладателями стали участники Афганской войны, проживающие в городе.

Как сообщили в администрации Котовска, на мероприятии присутствовали члены благотворительного фонда «Воинское братство» и городской организации Российского Союза ветеранов Афганистана. Юбилейные награды котовские воины-интернационалисты получили из рук военкома города Андрея Ершова.

Афганский конфликт длился 9 лет и 18 дней. Участие в нем принимали более 3 тысяч жителей Тамбовской области. 86 из них погибли. Завершилась Афганская война 15 февраля 1989 года.
